If at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it.

The first paraplegic sailor is to circumnavigate Italy in solitary

TRI_sail4all is a project promoted by I Timonieri Sbandati A.S.D., a journey around Italy, to raise awareness and create new opportunities for port and shipbuilding areas; for all those people who have more or less serious motor difficulties. The TRI project wants to show that, if equipped and experienced, everyone can go by sea.

CANDIDATES FOR THE TRIP 2019

In 2019 the second part of the project by sea is scheduled to be on board the trimaran Dragonfly 800 Swing Wing.

You will cover the entire Italian west coast from Genoa to Reggio Calabria and the circumnavigation of Sardinia and Sicily. The crew will be composed of motor, sensory and / or cognitive disabilities. The idea is to show the world that disabled people can be an active part of a crew and not simply “transported” by boat. The skipper will be Marco Rossato. If you’re not a sailor, do not worry! It will be an opportunity for you to learn some notions of the art of sailing that we hope will open up new opportunities and sports interests. The stages are being processed and in the meantime we wish to receive your application. The journey will be an unforgettable experience, an emotion so strong that you will remember for a long time… It is an experience that you can share with a loved one (that we will put to work with you) and give a strong sense to the term inclusion. Each stage will board a crew of up to 4 people, you will enjoy lessons on the basics to learn the most ancient and beautiful art of sailing.

COME ON BOARD AND BECOME ONE OF US, BECOME AN TIMONIERE SBANDATO (SBANDED TIMBER)!
